GEORGIA MARKETING COUNCIL

Founded in 1997, the Georgia Marketing Council was organized by a group of credit union marketers seeking to form a network of industry professionals. Today 55 credit unions are members of the organization, with 50-70 people regularly attending meetings.

The Georgia Marketing Council's primary function is to enhance the skills of credit union marketing professionals through a series of educational and networking opportunities. Quarterly meetings are held to discuss marketing techniques, tools and ideas. Credit unions from all over Georgia and surrounding areas are invited to attend these meetings. Meetings normally last one full day, with an option to spend the night the evening before. The first part of the meeting usually features a variety of speakers, presenting various topics that are very useful to credit unions and their marketers. The final session ends with an idea-sharing session that is helpful to everyone.
