The Georgia Marketing Council held its first meeting of the year at
the Hampton Inn in Savannah on February 9. More than 30 marketers
traveled to Savannah for the conference. The full day program consisted
of a session delivered by Mike Neill,of Michael Neill & Assoc., Inc.
on The Emerging Differentiation in Generational Psycho-Decision Making
or "I Don't Get It!" Mike's presentation gave the group excellent
information on the differences among generations and how to take these
differences into consideration when marketing to them.
In the afternoon, Glenn Miller, Vice President of Marketing & Administration,
Associated Credit Union, and Connie Steed, Digital Insights, gave
the group a view of Associated's new Web site and also answered questions
about what's new in cyber world.
A short meeting was also held to elect board members and propose dates
and sites for future meetings in 2001. The board members are: Dianne
Yost, Atlanta Postal CU, Holly Phillips, Northwest Georgia CU; Sue
Norton, American Heritage CU; Dede Cote, Robins FCU; Autumn Davis,
Delta ECU; Mary Hancock, Fort Stewart Georgia FCU, and Mickey Garland,
The Southern FCU. There is one board seat still vacant. Anyone interested

The Georgia Marketing Council was formed to help and support Georgia
marketing professionals and other credit union professionals responsible
for the marketing in their credit unions. Meetings are held three
